implosion and a con job

It's interesting watching this financial implosion happen. Well, interesting from the worst perspective of "Holy crap" and watching the governments of the world trying to reassure the people that things will be OK. What is obvious is that the banking system revolves around credit and therefore confidence. No confidence, no banking system. So, when things get this far out of whack, the governments of the world attempt to sooth and trick us to keep our confidence artificially high, while those in the know get their money out (as they did with Enron)....so it's a confidence job; a con. The government and the bankers have and are conning us. Don't people usually go to jail for that?
